Renewable Naphtha

World Energy renewable naphtha (RN) is a fuel component that can be used to decrease the carbon intensity of various chemical processes, including the creation of plastics and chemicals.

Key Features and Benefits

World Energy renewable naphtha reduces lifecycle greenhouse gas emissions by up to 85% compared to conventional naphtha.

100% renewable fuel

Immediate and positive environmental impact

Reliable production, distribution, and supply

Production

World Energy’s facility in Paramount, California, will ramp up renewable naphtha production from 2 million gallons per year currently to 6 million gallons per year by 2026, with a goal of producing over 17 million gallons of renewable naphtha per year by 2030.

Feedstock

Our RN is produced from inedible agricultural waste fats, oils, and greases. It contains no fossil-based feedstock, and we don’t use food crops, like corn, soy, or palm oil.

Process

World Energy’s RN is produced using the hydrotreated esters and fatty acids (HEFA) process, alongside our sustainable aviation fuel and renewable diesel.

Distribution

World Energy can deliver fuel by truck, vessel, or rail, and is working toward dramatically improving biofuel logistics in Southern California with pipelines that can optimize low-carbon fuel distribution.
