Since the passage of the IRA, Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) has seen a surge in planned production and investment. Currently announced projects in the U.S. could expand U.S. production capacity from ~60 million gallons of annual nameplate capacity today to up to 3.2 billion gallons of capacity by 2030. These planned projects have announced $45B in capital investment through 2030, a significant investment opportunity. However, announced SAF projects will not make it to final investment decision (FID) without long term offtake agreements in place.
This panel will convene SAF production companies and SAF offtakers to explore:
- What are successful strategies for securing long term offtake for SAF projects?
- What role do SAF offtakers play in scaling the SAF broadly ecosystem?
- How can investors leverage momentum in the SAF space today?
