Renewable Naphtha
World Energy’s renewable naphtha (RN) is a fuel component that can be used to decrease the environmental impact of various chemical processes, including the creation of plastics and chemicals.
Key Features and Benefits
World Energy renewable naphtha reduces lifecycle emissions by up to 85% compared to conventional naphtha.
Domestically produced biofuel
Made entirely from agricultural feedstocks
Reliable production, distribution, and supply
Production
World Energy’s facility in Paramount, California will ramp up renewable naphtha production from 2 million gallons per year currently to 6 million gallons per year by 2026, with a goal of producing over 17 million gallons of renewable naphtha per year by 2030.
Feedstock
Our RN is produced from inedible agricultural waste fats, oils, and greases. We don’t use food crops like corn, soy, or palm oil, ensuring we support farming practices that are good for our land and water while avoiding potential impacts on our food supply.
Process
World Energy’s RN is produced using the hydroprocessed esters and fatty acids (HEFA) process, alongside our sustainable aviation fuel and renewable diesel.
Distribution
World Energy can deliver fuel by truck, vessel, or rail, and is working toward dramatically improving biofuel logistics in Southern California with pipelines that can optimize biofuel distribution.
