Gene Gebolys is the founder and CEO of World Energy, a leader in the biofuels space for more than 25 years. World Energy was the world’s first commercial-scale producer of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) and a pioneer in carbon insets—separating the environmental attributes of SAF from the physical fuel and offering them to customers in need of decarbonization solutions. World Energy’s production and market innovations have set new standards in the sustainable aviation industry and accelerated carbon reduction in the hardest-to-abate sectors. 

Under Gene’s vision and leadership, World Energy continues to drive innovation in clean fuels, with ongoing SAF and clean hydrogen projects in California, the Gulf Coast region and Newfoundland, Canada. 

Gene holds a Master’s in Public Administration from Harvard University and a Bachelor of Science degree in economics & business management from The Ohio State University.
