Julia Fidler

Vice President, Strategic Partnerships

Julia leads the development of strategic collaborations at World Energy. Working across corporations, non-profits, and industry initiatives, Julia focuses on building the partnerships needed to overcome complex market barriers and create credible, scalable pathways for decarbonizing hard-to-abate sectors and accelerate the transition to a more sustainable global energy system.

Julia brings a unique combination of commercial, technical, and strategic expertise. She has led initiatives to reduce Scope 3 emissions across some of the world’s most challenging value chains, including sustainable aviation fuel (SAF), low-carbon fuels, steel, and cement, while helping organizations navigate emerging environmental markets and innovative approaches to corporate decarbonization.

Prior to joining World Energy, Julia served as Interim Executive Director of the Roundtable on Sustainable Biomaterials (RSB), one of the world’s leading sustainability standards and certification organizations for bio-based and circular materials.

Before RSB, Julia spent almost 18 years at Microsoft in a variety of leadership roles across finance, procurement, corporate travel, and sustainability.  Leading the company’s carbon reduction strategy for fuels and industrial materials, she developed several first-of-a-kind commercial agreements and environmental attribute certificate (EAC) frameworks in those sectors, helping pioneer new market mechanisms that continue to shape corporate climate action.
