Founder and CEO
Gene Gebolys is the founder, Chair, and CEO of World Energy, a leader in the advanced-biofuels space for more than 25 years. World Energy was the world’s first commercial-scale producer of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) and a pioneer in carbon insets—separating the physical SAF from its environmental attributes to enable high-integrity, efficient decarbonization of flight from anywhere to anywhere. World Energy’s production and market innovations have set new standards in the sustainable aviation industry and accelerated carbon reduction now being applied in other hard-to-abate sectors.
World Energy and its partners are developing a multi-phase 4GW wind-power project at a deepwater port in Newfoundland, Canada which will serve as a clean energy campus for users requiring clean, affordable, and reliable renewable power at scale.
Gene holds a Master’s degree in Public Administration from Harvard University and a Bachelor of Science degree in economics & business management from The Ohio State University. He is an active member in many groups and organizations, including YPO.
